Stage 4 of the Geopark Way, May 2024
The Stratford-upon-Avon Group is one of several hundred local groups of the Ramblers Association.
We are fortunate to have a large number of experienced walk leaders. Since they are drawn from all around the Stratford area, we are able to organise a wide variety of guided walks each week. They include:
- walks every Sunday of varying distances
- every Tuesday morning 5-6 miles
- 1st and 3rd Tuesdays 4-5 miles at gentle pace
- every Wednesday all day 8-12 miles
- occasional short walks on summer evenings
- occasional walks longer than 12 miles
- monthly, a long-distance footpath (for 2024 the Geopark Way)
In addition, we hold a number of special events each year, including an Annual Lunch, a Skittles Evening and a Railway Walk. Recent innovations have included an Evening Walk with Fish and Chip Supper and a Town Trail Quiz Walk. We also organise walking holidays.
